Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a LMFT?

A LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist. LMFT’s are qualified to work with children and adults, couples, and families. LMFT’s can provide mental health diagnoses but we cannot prescribe medication.

  • How long will it take until I feel better?

Many clients report some form of relief after their first session of therapy. However, clients should understand that the length someone is in therapy varies and relief comes with a combined effort from both therapist and client.

  • Is therapy in person or virtual?

Currently, I am transitioning back to seeing vaccinated clients in person at my office. Unvaccinated clients or those who wish can receive therapy via video or phone.

  • Can I bring my baby to therapy?

Yes! Babies in arms are welcome to all sessions.

  • Do you take insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance. However, I am happy to provide a receipt for each session which can be submitted for reimbursement.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is due at each session and I accept credit card, cash, or check.
